I’ve just installed Scribe on my phone and testing it out with this post. Scribe is an s60 application that lets you manage your wordpress blog. As well as posting new entries you can edit ones that have already been published, save as a draft copy and also change the status of entries between published and unpublished. When creating/editing there are a few tags that can be inserted, these are carriage return, new paragraph, href link, image link, more separator and a blank open/close tag. As long as this gets posted properly then all works well.
Its still in its early stages and there are a few things that I hope will be improved in later versions. Firstly it would be nice if it could upload images to wordpress instead of just linking to images that have already been uploaded. Secondly it would be nice if it worked off-line, only going on-line to upload a new post or manage ones that have already been published. As soon as you start to write a new post it asks you for the title, as soon as this has been entered it connects to the wordpress server. This means that for those who are using wordpress.com its not much different to using m.wordpress.com, minus the ability to quickly insert tags as that needs to have an active connection too. I prefer the mobile wordpress page as the font is clearer. Scribe is great though in that you can easily edit content that has already been published, with this feature and a few more improvements its going to make Scribe a killer app for mobile bloggers.
