I’ve decided to move my blog from Vox. The transition went smooth enough but now I can’t decide whether to have it on WordPress or Blogger, so at the moment I’m cross posting to both. The trouble is that WordPress seems more advanced with more options, such as multiple pages and a record of stats, I like that, but I just can’t find a template that I like. The ones I do like that have customizable colours and header image but are too narrow and the wider or full width ones don’t allow for much customization unless I pay extra to be able to edit the CSS. And speaking of paying extra, it seems that videos can’t be uploaded unless you pay for extra space. These two things are really putting me off WordPress. I don’t want to have to pay $15 just to alter a page width from 750 to 900, and I can’t understand why I can’t upload videos without paying an additional $20 for an extra 5gb when the 3gb that I already have is plenty. I won’t be uploading many video’s but I’d like the option to do so when I feel like it.
Blogger is winning in my eyes so far but I’ll give them both a month or so until I finally decide on one or the other.
